Our Story

A Legacy of Craftsmanship: The Reynaga Story

Our story begins in 1985 in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, in a small, vibrant town called Atoyac. It was here that my grandfather, Arturo, first set his hands to leather. Before this, he had spent years selling leather goods, but his passion for the craft soon drove him to learn the traditional techniques of leather working. He didn’t just want to sell; he wanted to create.

Years passed, and Arturo’s craftsmanship flourished. His expertise grew, and with it, his small business evolved from a humble trade to a well-established supplier of high-quality leather goods. But it was always about more than just the product—it was about tradition, skill, and a commitment to excellence.

In time, my father joined him, learning the craft and inheriting the same dedication to quality that had fueled my grandfather’s success. Together, they built a legacy that spanned nearly three decades. But in 2019, on July 17th, my grandfather passed away. His loss was deeply felt, but the legacy he built was far from finished.

That same year, my family made a life-changing decision to move to California. With my father’s wealth of experience and my own skills in design and craftsmanship, we knew we had the opportunity to continue what had been started—this time with a new chapter in the United States.

Reynaga Leather: A New Beginning

We named our new venture "Reynaga," honoring my grandmother’s last name, a symbol of family, heritage, and pride. To breathe new life into our brand, we redesigned the logo, giving it a modern, refined touch while staying true to the values that have always been at the heart of our work.

Today, we are committed to creating exceptional leather goods—each piece carefully handmade by my father and me. From wallets and belts to bags and accessories, we focus on every detail, ensuring that our products are not just beautiful, but also functional, durable, and unique.

Our store is online, making it easier than ever to share our passion for fine craftsmanship with the world. We’re proud to offer products that represent not just our skills, but our family's legacy—a legacy that began in the workshops of Atoyac and continues with every piece we create.

A Commitment to Quality and Sustainability

We believe that quality doesn’t have to come at the expense of ethical practices. That’s why we proudly source our leather from animals commonly used in the leather industry, mostly cattle, and we do not support the use of exotic skins. Each product is crafted with care, respect, and a deep commitment to sustainability.

As we share our story with you, we do so with the utmost sincerity and gratitude. We are excited to continue this journey and bring the joy of expertly crafted leather goods to people around the world.

Thank you for being part of our story.
